知路雅文～ Masafumi Chiji ～

1976年、京都市中京区に生まれる。

大学卒業後、本場のストリートアートを学ぶために渡米。ニューヨークやロサンゼルスを巡り、街中の壁に描かれたアートや、現地のアーティストとの交流を通じて、多様なスタイルと技法を学ぶ。 代表作には、

海宝寺「若冲筆投げの間」襖絵『孔雀』、

力の湯の壁画『富士』、

大阪・樟葉モールの仮囲いアート、

JR名古屋高島屋の仮囲いアート『偉人』、

成田空港の仮囲いアート『NARITA』、

宇治警察署のマスコットキャラクターなど。

現在は、日本の伝統文化とアートの融合に取り組んでおり、「畳アート」に新たな可能性を見出している。畳という日本独自の素材をキャンバスに見立て、従来のアートとは異なる技法を模索。伝統と現代が融合する新しい表現として、国内外に発信していくことを目指している。

Born in Nakagyo Ward, Kyoto City in 1976, he traveled to the United States to study authentic street art. He traveled to New York and Los Angeles, learning about diverse styles and techniques through the art on city walls and through interactions with local artists. His representative works include the "Peacock" sliding door painting in the "Jakuchu Brush-Throwing Room" at Kaihoji Temple, the "Fuji" mural at Chikara-no-Yu, the temporary enclosure art at Kuzuha Mall in Osaka, the "Great People" temporary enclosure art at JR Nagoya Takashimaya, the "NARITA" temporary enclosure art at Narita Airport, the creation of votive plaques for temples and shrines, and the creation of a mascot character for Uji Police Station. He is currently working on fusing traditional Japanese culture with art, discovering new possibilities in "tatami art." He uses tatami, a uniquely Japanese material, as a canvas and explores techniques that differ from traditional art. He aims to promote his work both domestically and internationally as a new form of expression that fuses tradition and modernity.
